Paediatric Hearing Services (Children's Hearing Tests)

Gentle, child-friendly hearing assessments

We offer gentle, age-appropriate hearing assessments for children aged 3.5 years and older in a calm, supportive, and engaging environment. We understand that children respond differently to testing than adults, which is why we use specialised techniques tailored to their age, development, and attention span. Our child-focused approach is designed to make hearing assessments feel comfortable and stress-free, helping children feel at ease while ensuring accurate and reliable results. Early detection of hearing concerns is important for supporting speech, language, learning, and overall development, and our friendly clinicians work closely with both children and parents to create a positive experience from start to finish.
Why early detection is important
Hearing plays a critical role in a child’s speech, language development, learning ability, and social confidence. Even mild or temporary hearing issues (such as from fluid in the middle ear) can affect classroom performance and communication. Early detection allows for timely intervention, which can significantly improve developmental outcomes.
